Attempting to launch Chemkin (either through Workbench or the standalone application) results in an error message in the CHEMKIN launcher.

ERROR CONDITION DETECTED. EXIT STATUS IS 1

The java command that started user interface ended abnormally.
This could be due to a java startup error such as requesting too much memory.
Or it could be due to a problem already reported by the user interface.

Any advice on how to get it working?

      Hello George,

I've tried reinstalling the application. I've been able to replicate the issue on a few different computers as well.

      Thanks,

      Josh

Please rename the following dll files to .dll_backup under C:\Windows\System32:

      libcrypto-1_1-x64.dll

      libssl-1_1-x64.dll

I'm able to launch the program after renaming those two files. Is this something I will need to do for all installations of the program for it to work properly?

Slight correction... I only renamed libcrypto-1_1-x64.dll and the program was able to launch properly.

Renaming files to launch a program suggests a potential issue. Investigate further to determine if this solution is permanent or temporary.Insta pro
