SubscriberI have defined 3 phase (A,B,C) windings in an induction motor and defined 8 coil excitations in each phase. I show the coil excitations of Phase A below (and did phases B and C similarly on other coils in the given geometry region).
For each phase, I assigned 8 coils choosing 4 coils in -ve Z direction and 4 in +ve Z direction.

Forum ModeratorHi @arshiah You have selected an External circuit for excitation, have you defined one?
If you have defined the external circuit the popup window will look like below screenshot
You can define an external circuit as explained below, make sure you have the same name for the inductors in the circuit as given in the excitation.
Right-click on excitation>external circuit> edit external circuit.
Select create a circuit on the pop window.
Create your external circuit and export the netlist.
Come back to maxwell design Right-click on excitation>external circuit>edit external circuit.
Select import circuit netlist on the popup window and you are done.
Refer Mawell help for additional information on the external circuit.
You can also create a Maxwell model from an inbuilt RMXprt motor example that creates an external circuit for reference.

SubscriberI figured out the issue. I had to update the winding excitations before using them.
