SubscriberHello,
My school cluster recently upgrade from Oracle Linux to CentOS8, and it caused severe problem while installing Ansys ElectroMagnetic to this new system.
In particular, for the Ansys version 19.0, 19.2, 19.5, the installation of Electronics throw Java issue error when running with GUI. Please see image

Ansys EmployeeCentOS8 is not supported. You can try setting the variable ANS_IGNOREOS=1 before installation, but you are likely to encounter problems with libraries when trying to run. You can find our supported platforms lists on this page.nhttps://www.ansys.com/solutions/solutions-by-role/it-professionals/platform-supportnnThanks,nMattnJanuary 28, 2021 at 9:19 pmtuevu
SubscriberThank you for your fast response. However the variable setting ANS_IGNOREOS=1 does not help. Same error occurs for Electronics.nWhen I read the table from the provided link, here is what I found. I want to use Maxwell from AnsysEM with CentOS8 and it has all the tickmarks here. Does it mean supported OS or not?nInn
