Error in demagnetization computation

      Hello

I am trying  to set a demagnetiztion computation for the magnets in a motor after I apply a heavy load current. I followed the instructions from the help guide, so I set identical source and target designs.

When I try to run the target design, i get this error : Maxwell2d solver, process solver2d error: Internal Solver Error: ' Map source design 'solvedhc' file onto target mesh failed! '.

Im using Ansys EDT 2021R2, the geometries in the source & target designs are strictly identical. The magnets and steel sheets im using have non linear BH curves.

I will be grateful for any help you could provide.

      Regards,

      Anis

      Hi @guessoum.anis,

Can you provide more detail, preferably screenshots of which instruction manual are you following?

      Regards,

      Navya

      Hello,
Here are some screenshots of wich instruction manual im following :

Im doing this analysis on the following motor :

I followed the previous instructions and i would like to import in the target design the magnetization state of the blue magnet after i run a computation in the source design with a heavy current in the stator. I get the error aforementionned when Im doing this.
Please tell me if this is not clear enough.
      Thanks a lot.
      Anis

      Hello Anis,

Have you solved your problem? I did have the same issue you mentioned above.

      I'd appreciate your help.

I've had the same problem. Finally I found the reason, I used the face coordinates for magnetization reference of the magnets, it is possible that the demagnetization analysis can not recognize this coordinate system. I changed it to a relative coordinate system for the magnets and it worked fine.

Use relative CS but didnt work -.-

      Hello,
I think that was the problem indeed, thank you for your response.
