I have been learning fluid static for a week from ansys innovation course and get some problem from my simulation "U-Tube". After set up all compenent and entering the running simulation step error occurs like this. I didn't know why this happen and how to fix it.

This is a pretty challenging case actually, the volume of fraction (VoF) simulation and it is transient. My best advice would be to re-check the VoF settings, initialization, and solution controls. Try to focus until minute 6.38 of the video

Dear Ilham,

A floating point usually occurs because the courant number is exceeding the limit, thus stopping the solver to continue solving the problem. I already tried to do the simulation and I did not find the floating point, the simulation worked. I guess you should try to check the setup again, especially in multiphase Volume of Fluid (VoF) setup, methods setup, boundary conditions setup, and initialization setup which has the further step to do, a patch set up to define initial conditions of the mercury and the air. The initialization process is very crucial for the transient simulation.
