SubscriberHi all
I have an thermography image with a hot iron color palette. How can I replicate that with Ensight ?
Any clue from the Ensight/Ansys people is very welcome.

Ansys EmployeeColor your part with the desired variable. Adjust the color palette for that variable (each variable can have its own color palette) by right clicking on the variable in the variable list and select "edit palette". In the Palette Editor, there are some tabs options. Click on the "Files" tab to get to the various palette file options. Search there for "hot metal", for example. Select the one you want, and click "Restore".
You can edit the RGB value of any of the colors used in the palette to suit your needs. Adjusting the range can also be used to align to specific colors needed.

AdministratorHello,
Here is how you can edit Palette on a contour plot.
- Create your contour plot and right-click on the legend. It will open the following dialog box.
- Click on 'Edit Palette', which will take you to 'Palette editor' (screenshot below). Switch to the 'Files' tab. Please choose the palette that closely resembles what you want to compare with.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Karthik

SubscriberThanks Karthik and Kevin for the output. I am afraid the available palettes are not the same from the Flir thermographies (please google for flir hot iron thermographic images and you will see my point)

Ansys EmployeeHi,
EnSight is not included in student version. So I am asking if you are using student version or some other licenses?

.Cool. I had pretty much the same question as the guy who asked this thread and your answer really helped. I tried using color palettes with https://create.vista.com/colors/palettes/80s-color-palette/ and I can tell you that it's really cool and convenient, the palettes are very high quality and the site is user-friendly.
