SubscriberHello,i'm post processing the two way FSI results with the aid of the Ensight!Â
When loading the SyC results files, the contour images can be made by using the Force_per_unit area_EV vectors.
Â
However i don't know the exact physical meaning of this force per unit area and also SI unit of this parameter! Can i know the details of this parameter?
Â
What i wonder is, is those force which showed by thar vector solely contains the information of the force which is resulted by the Flunet? Or it also contains the effect of the mechanical results on the force of the Fluent? Does it contains tensil strength of the material? Or if not how can we obtain that information?
Â
Best regards,
Taegoon Lee

Ansys EmployeeHello Taegoon,Â
This is just to comparison purpose. As the amount of the conserved quantity in each mesh element will vary with the sizes of those elements. To facilitate comparison of source and target values on meshes with different element sizes, you should always view the corresponding intensive variables — that is, per-unit-area or per-unit-volume on surface or volume regions, respectively.
