SubscriberHello everyone,
I am trying to use the "Microsoft MPI Distributed Parallel" option in CFX under "Run Mode". Currently, only "Serial" and "Intel MPI Local Parallel" are available. I am running Windows 10 Pro with ANSYS 2024R2 (or a later version). I have attached a screenshot showing the available options.
Could anyone guide me on how to enable or make the "Microsoft MPI Distributed Parallel" option appear and become selectable in my CFX settings? I am looking to set up a distributed parallel run using Microsoft MPI.
Thank you for your assistance.

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Please refer to Ansys CFX Windows Parallel Setup for how to use Intel MPIÂ

Another option is indirect start method submission to Windows HPC Server 2019 if it is an option. That option could use MSMPI distributed. For background informaiton please refer to the types of start methods at https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/public/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v251/en/cfx_solv/i185957190013353.htmlÂ
