Empty Voids @ the centers/hearts of vortices in Two-phase Flows

  Hello guys,
  Please, I'd like to know the physical implication and meaning of the empty voids at the hearts or centers of vortices. I'm studying a thesis material concerning a two-phase flow done using ANSYS CFX.
  The attached jpeg shows the vortices having empty voids.

  Those are streamlines, you may want to look at contours & vectors too. I'd also be looking at moving to 2023R2, you're around 10 years behind the current release.
