Dear experts,
I am using Monte Carlo radiation model with Solar load. So the model I am using having mirror reflector having emissivity as 0. I used this value in wall boundary condition in MC model but the temperature profile I can see in the results is looking unrealistic. Its showing 43 degC temperature rise near the wall boundary which shouldn't be the case in reality. Can somebody guide me on what is happening?
I am using realizable k epsilon model with air velocity inlet and pressure outlet boundary condition. I turned on the gravity to see the convection effects within the model. Although temperature profile near the reflector wall boundary is unchanged even if I turn off gravity. I am enclosing a picture of temperature profile.
February 14, 2022 at 6:57 pmRKAnsys EmployeeHello Can you please another picture with labels of the walls so that we better understand? And also, did you mean 34 deg C temp rise?
February 15, 2022 at 12:56 pmgaurav6531SubscriberHello Ok I am uploading another image showing reflector in blue. The inside wall of this reflector is shiny like mirror.
The temperature rise shown in the temperature profile near the wall of the reflector is 43 degC (ambient is 300K).
Please let me know if you need more information and what you suggest.
Kind regards Gaurav Nanajkar

February 18, 2022 at 11:26 amgaurav6531SubscriberCan somebody address this please?
March 7, 2022 at 8:19 pmgaurav6531SubscriberNobody is responding to the query. Can anybody answer why I can see the temperature on the wall when the emissivity is zero?
