Hi,
I am trying to learn modal acoustic analysis using workbench to get the natural frequernsies of a fluid inside a pipe. During this analysis i am using FSI option available in mechanical for simulating the interaction at the interface. My question is during meshing of the region using ansys auto mesh it is using Hex20 for all elemnts including the fluid region as it is shown in mesh metrics, if my understanding about elemnt type is correct. But as per literature, I have to use fluid type elements like Fluid 20etc., Can anyone help me how do i get the correct elements or how do i assign the element type to the acoustic region. Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
Thanks.

You use the Physics Region object to specify the acoustic domain. You would have two Physics Regions, one that specified the structural domain and one for the fluid domain.
