SubscriberHelloÂI am doing a non linear analysis with non linear material properties.During the solution iteration the following error occurs.ÂI am not concerned about the distortion of this element, so I click on "Proceed" button and the calculation goes on.The problem is that this calculation requires hours and I run it in the night so I can't click the button. In this way the calculation is stopped until I press the button in the morning, wasting time.ÂIs there a method to automatically skip this error or automatically press the "Proceed" button in order to not stop the calculation in the night?ÂI have tried the following commands, but it doesn't work• /UIS,MSGPOP,4• /NERR,,,-1• SOLVE,,,,,NOCHECKÂI have tried to define more substeps but it doesn't work.ÂThe mesh density and the element shape are fine near the interested discontinuity.ÂCan you help me?ÂRegards,ÂAndreaÂ

Ansys EmployeeAre you running MAPDL interactively? If so, did you try running in batch?

SubscriberRunning it in batch mode could solve the issue, I didn't try yet becouse I need to run Ansys interactively since plot and animation are output during calculation.ÂAnyway I can separate the calculation step from the postprocessing step and use batch mode.ÂThanksÂAndrea

Ansys EmployeeIn my experience there is no way to solve through an element distortion error. Even extreme methods like solve,,,,noch don't work. It would be nice if the program could just delete the element and keep going, but it can't. To avoid rerunning from the beginnning, restart points could be created so that you could restart from just before the element distortion error occurs with some modification to the rate of loading.
