I want verify how the element birth and death can help simulation inject molding stress. For simplicity, I have created a 2 films stack with different CTE. Film A is silicon which has a smaller CTE and exists at the beginning. Film B is the molding compound which has a larger CTE and should be added at a higher tempearture eg. 100C.Â
I have run the simulation in 2 ways:
1.Film A reference temperature is 25C, kill the Film B element and increase the temperature to 100C. Eactive the Film B elements. And cool down to 25C. Check the deformation.Â
2. Film A and film B are both enabled in the beginning and increase temperature from 25C to 100C and cooled down to 25C again. Check the deformation.
I was expected quite different deformation from two simulation. However, I got totally identical deformation? It seems that the element birth and death does not work at all.Â
