Electronics Desktop Questions (IBIS Importing and Shortcuts)

      Hey there,

I'm curious about importing models. When I import an IBIS model for an SoC, it's a little challenging to bring it in piece-by-piece.

Let's say I have a comms interface with commLine1, commLine2,...commLine7. I have a whole bunch of signal groups like this and I want to import each of them as their own piece before setting up the rest of the sim. Any tips?

Importing seems pretty heavily geared towards manually selecting the signals you want to import. There is not an obvious way to "sort" the pins or model colums for IBIS model imports. Thoughts on this aspect?

Last question, are there keyboard shortcuts listed somewhere? I'm having a devil of a time finding shortcuts for things like Align Horiz, Align Vert, Flip Horiz, and many other shortcuts. Those are bad examples because "X" and "Y" and "R" allow for flipping and rotations, but they are not listed in the tooltip when you mouse over their menu buttons. This seems odd. Where would I go to find more shortcuts like these that are not listed in the tooltips?

I also can't seem to pan my view with pressing and dragging M3 (middle mouse click/scroll wheel click). Instead I have to click M3, then use M1 (left click) to pan my view. Is this by design or can I edit behaviors and key bindings? Perhaps I need to explore the options some more?

Unfortunately the pin/model columns are not sortable. They are presented in the order they the model vendor defined them in the .ibs file. You do have the option of using the filter text box. So if you were to put the string "commLine*" to just display those commLine items. Additionally if you use the "Create single component" checkbox you can bring in all of the selected pins into a single multi pin component which will allow for easier schematic management and bulk editing.
