SubscriberHello, suppose we have to simulate a dipole antenna that is a height lambda/100 away from the top of the half-space boundary (thus the dipole itself is in free space and lambda is the operating frequency). Suppose the halfspace is composed of a relative permittivity of ~4 and loss tangent of 0.01. Is the only way to simulate this in the FEM-solver to create an incredibly large slab of the dielectric material? We were going to try to use the FE-BI boundary but we still require some distance between the antenna and the boundary, thus we couldn't put it between the antenna and the slab itself. Is there an easier/less memory requirement way to simulate this that doesn't use the pure IE mode (thus we can't use the half-space boundary available in those simulation types)?
Thank you for your time!
