SubscriberI am currently doing a non linear analysis on the load carrying capacity of the column. I am also incorporating initial imperfection in the model. The initial imperfection is taken from the buckling analysis. The first mode shape should be scaled by a factor to obtain the initial imperfection. In the previous versions of Ansys, Mechanical APDL followed by Finite element modeller was used to obtain the required imperfection. In Ansys 19.2, finite element modeller is not present. So is there a way to modify the amplitude of the first buckling mode shape and obtain the required initial imperfection in Ansys 19.2

This is how i solved it. In the solution part of the buckling analysis, right click - Properties - Change the scale factor to the required value. Then continue as per the schematic. Update the schematic so that the scaled deformed geometry gets transferred to the second static structural component.
