SubscriberHello,
We have just installed our brand new NVIDIA P5000 graphic card in an external box - - egpu  (Akitio). The problem is I can not detect the graphic card in the "graphics settings" => "Discovery Live" => "options" => "Hich performance GPU : NVIDIA quadro K620" so my internal gpu.
Akitio website is saying that I can also detect the graphic from the app directly (if supported by the app). So, is i t possible to change the graphic card option in Discovery Live, and if yes, where is the setting?
Thanks,

External graphics card configurations are not officially supported, but they should work. That being said, do you know if the PC is detecting that GPU in the Windows Device Manager?
If "graphics settings" is referring to the NVIDIA Control Panel, then most likely the problem is originating in WIndows, and resolving that recognition issue will fix the problem with Discovery.

Forum ModeratorHi JulesH , Last year we tested an Akito Node eGPU and used Quadro and Geforce cards inside of it successfully. The eGPU box must be connected to a thunderbolt version 3 port which is typically a new PC in the last 2 years. If it is an older version 2 thunderbolt port, it will not work.

SubscriberHi,
Sorry for the delay to answer to this topic. I have been able to solve the problem by changing the BIOS setting.
The "Security Level"Â was on "User Authorization" and now it works with "No security". With this change I was able to detect the graphics card in the "Device Manager".
