SubscriberGood day Sir. please i am modeling a magnetic gear of the below parameters to plot the dynamic torque plot of the inner and outer rotor but my plot is far from what i am suppose to obtain.please can some one help me fish out my mistakes.
The gear has 4 inner magnet pairs, 22 outer magnet pairs with different polarity and 26 steel segments .The thickness of the Permanent magnet is 6 mm.The air gap between the two rotors and the steel segments is 1 mm. The magnet material is NdFeb35 and the steel segment material is low carbon steel AISI1008 and the rotor yoke is ferromagnetic material. The inner rotor .The angular speeds of both inner and outer rotor is 150 rpm and 27.3 rpm.
my model is below

Â
The position range for the dynamic torque is from 0 to 45 degrees. when i plotted dynamic torque of the inner and outer rotor ,my plot is below.
the actual plot was suppose to look like the figure below

Ansys EmployeeHello,
The outter circle magnets pole seems like opposite from the first picture. Please double check if the poles are correctly defined.

Ansys EmployeeIs the coercivity defined at radial direction correctly? Are you more worried about the phase or the amplitude?

Subscriberplease can you give me a snapshot on how to identify the coercivity in the ansys maxwell so i define it?

Ansys EmployeeYour picture shows it has an amplitude of 890k. Is the material coord cylindrical? R component should be -1 and 1. You also need to have the same correct permeability for all material in this model to get correct torque. Please use the support button at the left side of this page to submit a ticket for further help from our dedicated engineers.
