Dynamic Mesh Problem: Warning: left handed faces detected!

      Hello,

I have a 2D flow simulation consisting of a rectangular domain with a diaphragm separation. There is fluid of high and low pressures on either side of the diaphragm.

I have enabled Dynamic Mesh with Smoothing and Remeshing. There are 2 zones on both sides of the diaphragm which have triangular elements.

The diaphragm is of 0 thickness and is defined as a wall - Diaphragm_1 is associated to the left zone, and Diaphragm_2 is associated to the right zone.

Please cross check your UDF. nAlso please check if you can use structured mesh and layering option instead of tri mesh and remeshing. nPlease also check nnRegards,nKeyurnHow to access Ansys Online Help DocumentnHow to show full resolution imagenGuidelines on the Student CommunitynHow to use Google to search within Ansys Student Communityn

nThank you for reaching out!nI tried using layering technique, but it does not work. FLUENT throws negative cell volume detected error.nThe UDF is fine since it correctly shows how the diaphragm moves when I preview zone motion.nThe issue is only with mesh motion.nKindly advise on how to proceed.n

For layering technique, please change split factor and collapse factor to avoid negative cells. Also make sure that you are using small time step. nFor UDF, we will not be able to debug it. You will need to cross check. Please check where did you hook UDF. nPlease go through help manual for more details nRegards,nKeyurnHow to access Ansys Online Help DocumentnHow to show full resolution imagenGuidelines on the Student CommunitynHow to use Google to search within Ansys Student Communityn
