SubscriberHi,
I want design dynamic mesh for impellers of a mixer. In MRF meshing method , a region would be defined which is the moving or rotating part of the mixer,Â
I want know this region would be defined for dynamic mesh too or not ?
Also, in MRF meshing the impeller it self would be deleted and not be included after the geometry design after subtract from liquid volume. I want know if it is the same case in dynamic mesh.Â
ThanksÂ

Ansys EmployeeHello,Â
For a mixing tank, you can simply switch from an MRF to a Sliding Mesh by checking the 'Mesh Motion' option instead of the 'Frame Motion' option. If you want to account for the physical rotation of the impeller, this will be the best approach as the setup for both approaches (MRF and sliding mesh) are identical. Dynamic mesh might be an overkill for this type of a simulation since the mesh is not deforming.
Best,Â
