SubscriberHi there,
Â
I am running a geometry optimization of a nozzle. I am running he simulations in Fluent. The parameter to be maximized it the average velocity of the particles in a certain region, which is located at the end of the domain (and where the maximum velocities are expected).
I have always plotted the "Particle Velocity Magnitude" (under "Particle Variables") to check the velocity of the particles in my domain. However, I do not find the way tho create a Report to track the velocity of the particles.
As an alternative, Y have achive to "report" the "DPM Velocity Magnitude" (under "Discrete Phase Variables").
Both values seems to be similar, but not the same. However, I cannot find the difference between them. I would appreciate, if someone could helpme with it.

I defined the DPM as follows:

Many thanks

Basically, you have the data on the particles and the cell data. The cell data will be calculated from however many parcels are in that cell, whereas the particle data is in the Lagrangian reference frame.
