SubscriberI am working on DPM model and I am doing an unsteady simulations. So, to track particle path I have to take a sample at different time steps. I am injecting 140 parcels from inlet(tried surface as well as group injection) in one time step but when I am taking sample only 68 data entries are there when 140 parcels are being tracked. why is this the case? why it is not showing all 140 entries in sample data aslo?
Also is there any other way to track particle paths in unstedy simulation of DPM model ?
Please help me with this
Thank you

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Not all the injected particles might reach the sampling plane. Since it's unsteady, when you sample them, some of the particles fate might be different.

SubscriberThank you for your reply. Sometimes it is giving more data points also(more than 140) what can be the possible explaination for that..And also please explain sampling plane
