SubscriberHello all,
I'm working on two phase DPM (water as continious phase, air as dispersed phase) DPM simulation of a bubble column (Fluent v19.2.)
The issues are as follow
1) Exported Particle Histry data from fluent [file type CFD post, .xml file].Importing this file in CFD Post, it is not showing any particle tracking, blank.
2) Varibles such as DPM volume fraction, Mean DPM volume fraction, custom field function varibles are selected in data file quantities. Howver, when the data file is read in CFD post, those varibles are not showing, only defaults varible are showing.
How to visualize Particel tracking using CFD Post?

Forum ModeratorThe easiest solution is not to. Fluent DPM (and multiphase in general) isn't overly reliable in CFD Post so we tend to do all of the post processing in Fluent. Also, if the track isn't showing anything in CFD Post check the tracks in Fluent: it may be there aren't any to display.

SubscriberThank you Mr Rob for your suggestion,
In using Fluent post processing, I do not face any issue, the particle tracking and Time averaged quanties of DPM variables all are showing. It is not showing in CFD post only.
However, I want to create better images of Particle tracking (e.g. I want to use 'Surface Group' and rendering it such that entire domain is visualised along with the Particle tracking). Also. with DPM variables contour, I want to visually show the location of points on which local variables are being monitored using the contours plot.
Using CFD Post one can create interesting images which are helpful to present the work.
Am I doing it correctly? Is there any other way to visualize on CFD Post?

Ansys EmployeeI am not sure if there were some issues in the past when reading particle tracks in CFD-Post but as far as I remember it should work. Please export on injection track and check if it is shown in CFD-Post. Also try to change the method from "Reduction Factor" to Number of Tracks.
All other "Euler" variables: you need to export into CFD-Post Compatible format (*.cdat). Fluent dat files are restart files for Ansys Fluent.
