SubscriberHow can i display the results of membrane / bending stress in Mechanical? There is always a blue question mark by selecting all geometrie, faces or a edge ?

Ansys Employee!
Bending and Membrane Stresses are special results which are available for bodies modelled using shell elements.
After inserting the Bending and Membrane Stresses from "Solutions", you need to select the surface bodies and then click on "Apply" in the "Scope" region to scope them to the Bending or Membrane Stress Calculations.
Further, in Ansys Mechanical, we need to manually write details of membrane and bending stresses to the results file. So, to do this we need to go to the "Analysis Settings" and under "Output Controls" set the option "General Miscellaneous" to "Yes".
After completing the above steps you can go ahead and solve the model.
Please refer to the attached images.
Thanks!
