SubscriberCan any one plz let me know that in diffraction grating for central operating wavelength why we have to ensure the condition that angle of incidence must be equal to angle of diffrcation to maximize the efficiency. But this is not the case with rest of the wavelength. The following data is copied from (https://support.zemax.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500005578762-How-to-build-a-spectrometer-theory)

Ansys EmployeeHi Uzma,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I believe the reason is to increase the effieciency of the central wavelength in order your side wavelenghts to have less but equal efficiency as well.
I hope that was helpful, let me know if I can be of further assistance.
