Difference between magnetic loss tangent and core loss model (Maxwell)

I would like to know the difference between 'magnetic loss tangent' and 'core loss model' in material properties of ANSYS maxwell.

Both the properties are related to the magnetic loss. Is one enough or we are required to enter both the values from the core datasheet.

      Hello,

They are for different core loss calculation method. Magnetic loss tangent is usually for eddy current solver. Core loss model works for both transient and eddy current solver. One is enough.

      Hi GL,

I am actually creating material library So I guess it is better to create core loss model as it can be used in both the solvers rather than adding magnetic loss tangent. right?

      Thanks
