SubscriberDear all,
I want to design a Fiber Bragg Grating
Can anyone help me how should I start? I am new user of Ansys software

Ansys EmployeeHi Anand,Â
You would most likely require the MODE solvers for simulating fiber grating. We have an app gallery example on this: Fiber Bragg gratings. The example walks you through how to setup the simulation and obtain the results. You can also download the example simulation file from the article. It uses a solver called EME (Eigenmode Expansion), which is typically used for simulating bi-directional propagation in geometries that support guided modes.
The Ansys Innovation courses offer free introductory videos on these solvers:Â Learning Tracks (in the Photonics category). I think they will be a good place to familiarize yourself with different solvers.Â
Regards,
Amrita
