SubscriberHi everyone,
I am currently working on a simulation for my senior design project, and was wondering if anyone would be able to direct me in the right direction.
I am still super new to Ansys fluent, so I am at a point with this where I don't know how to move forward.
The CAD person in my group sent me the model for our aircraft, I tried importing the model as a .STEP, .IGS, and .x_t, all providing me with a "face-face:" inconsistency warning/ "edges touch" warning.
Is this a problem with importing the geometry on my end? Or is this more likely an error that design modeler is picking up from the original CAD model?
My goal at the moment, is to generate a subtraction Boolean. Which I am also having issues with because I can't seem to figure out how to make this one body.
If I were to fix the face-face inconsistency, would I then be able to perform a subtraction Boolean for my whole model? Or is there a way to just move forward with these warnings?
Just super lost right now, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Here is the current display with warnings:

Can you try importing the geometry in SpaceClaim and then use tools like Stich, Gaps, Missing Faces, etc. from the Repair tab to convert the geometry into a single solid body?
