I am trying to simulate blood flow. At first I did a two way coupling between Strucural and Fluent but I could not get a wave propagation. A fellow member of the Ansys community suggested I use Ansys Acoustics. This made me wonder 2 things
1) Is it possible to do a 2-way coupling between Ansys Acoustics and Fluent? I need the boundary changes to affect the flow.
2) Is this the best way to do it?
If anyone has experience on the matter or any other advice I would really appreciate it.
Thank you

Which wave? The pulse effect on the vessel wall?Â

Hello,
Honestly I do not know if "wave" is the proper word for it but yeah I am referring to the deformation on the vessel wall(the pulse). The issue is that I could not replicate this behavior on structural and Acoustics does not seem to have a 2-way coupling.

Using acoustics is a new one to me. Fluent and Mechanical are the tools to use. Have a careful look at the boundary conditions (flow) and structural properties of the vessel. I'd run just the Fluent model first to see what pressure range you've got. I'd also suggest looking at the Intrinsic FSI in Fluent: I doubt you need to use enough features to need Mechanical.Â
