Definition of element size in Workbench meshing

      Hi

When i am trying to mesh a 3D pipe in Workbench meshing, there is a parameter called element size. What does it exactly mean? Because I can see element size varying with location on the geometry so it must be refering to something very specific. Can someone please clarify what does this element size mean?

      thanks

Hi-the link is not opening but I searched element size in the online guide and it says the max size of an element on a surface. Is this correct? Also is there a way to display the min and max element sizes in Workbench meshing? In mesh metrics sizes cannot be chosen.

Pretty sure you set the min and max sizes and Meshing may or may not hit those limits. The mouse pointer will reflect the min & max sizes.

Yes i can select the node, element face but cannot display the area of a single element face or the entire statistics of the mesh anywhere. Is there a way to do so?

Doesn't look like there is. Given you set min & max sizes everything will be in that range.
