hello, I am looking for a way to display depth-averaged velocity in my simulation. i hope u can help me how to display it bcus i couldn't find any really good informations about it, thank u in advance.

You mean values at a position plane/line or at a distance from a free surface? You can add surfaces in from the Results tab Surface>Create.Â

i want the depth-averaged velocity at each interface can be found out by integrating the velocities over the flow depth found from the derived expressions at five vertical positions. Then the distribution of depth-averaged velocity along the lateral section will be the line joining of individual depth-averaged velocities at each vertical interface. i'm looking for that to see the averaged velocity at each contour in a specifies depth of waterÂ

I'm not quite sure I follow. Adding a vertical line at certain positions will let you get the average value on that line. Other data can be extracted from surface (planes, transform and isosurface). So you can create an isosurface of the water free surface, and then transform that by a value to get the surface at depth.Â
