Hello,
i want to build a custom wear model, but i don't know exactly how. Does anyone has some experience with this topic? I know that there is in apdl the archard wear model as a implemented function but for my simulation this one is not the right one. That's why i wanted to write my own one. I chose the Usui model.Â
Is there a chance to write my own model in apdl or something?
Thanks a lot!

Hello,
It is possible for you to make a user-defined wear model via the userwear routine. See the Contact Technology Guide section 14.1.1.2. User-Defined Wear Model (USERWEAR). This allows you to implement a custom model using Fortran code. Note that you'll also need access to an Intel Fortran compiler and Microsoft Visual Studios (if on the Windows platform).

Please have a look at the LS-DYNA Keyword CONTACT_ADD_WEAR

Hello,Â
I have never worked with fortran or with apdl commands before, but i think the apdl commands look easier for me. Does someone has a example for me regarding the userwear script? I don't know how this could look...
Thanks a lot!
