so I run a simualtion in ANSYS Maxwell where I have parallel conductors grouped in a winding. I want to know how I can get or compute for the actual average current going through each conductor. Is there a way to do this?

Hello Coleen,
   When enter value for "number of parallel branches" in "Winding" setting, Maxwell will assign the current of "I/a" for each coil terminal, "I" is total current and "a" is number of parallel branches.
    If you need to simulate current distribution for each conductor, we need to set each "Winding" for each conductor, not group all the conductors in one Winding and addtionally use Maxwell external circuit to connect them in parallel.

My model is for PCB windings connected with vias, I can't do this because as far as i know i can't have multiple "Windings" assigned to one body or conduction path if I'm using Maxwell Eddy current solver.
Isn't there any other way like using the fields calculator?

Hello Coleen,
    Could you try transient A-phi solver? If the excitation could not be sutiable for your simulation in this solver, we have to use Q3D and HFSS.

Hello Coleen,
   We could assign mutiple terminals (ports) in one conduction path, not mutiple winding, in the A-phi solver.
   What is your goal in the simulation? Thanks.

My model is for PCB winding with layers connected in parallel through vias. So each layer is an object but the vias connect them making them one conduction path. Ideally, the current per layer is equal to the current divided by the number of layers in parallel. However, we know, in real life, that there is difference in the current shared per layer. So the goal is to observe and measure the current shared per layer.

Hello Coleen,
   To simulate different current distribution, it will be a little complicated process. I suggest to use coupling between Q3D and Simplorer to simulate each current of each terminals. You will get different shared current results.
   After that, you could export current results from Simplorer model and import them into Maxwell for field simulation, if you need.
