"The manifest file specified for this installation does not exist . Please verify that the install was run according to the documentation . File not found- uninst_data.dat"  This is what my ansys r2 2024 install is showing so i am not seeing the workbench

I believe it could be a faulty installation. Did you get a chance to reinstall applications or check if standalone applications are working?
Are you using a student version or a commercial?

Can you please try to install a fresh setup of fluids or structures package and let me know?

Reinstall the application as administrator & delete configuration files:

1. 1. Uninstall Ansys package as administrator.

   2. Rename ‘ %temp%\.ansys’ to ‘‘ %temp%\.ansys.old’

   3. Rename ‘AppData\Roaming\Ansys’ to ‘AppData\Roaming\Ansys.old’

   4. Rename ‘Documents\Ansoft’ to ‘Documents\Ansoft.old’ (if any)
      

   5. Download then install the Ansys product-specific package as required as administrator.

I am using a student version... I would try these and get back to you...thanks

I have tried reinstalling it thrice; it just takes up my storage and still shows the critical error

I just discovered the installation is taking up my storage but the app is not installed just in the extracted folder
