SubscriberHello,
I have an imported geometry that i would like to import to do a simulation inside steady-state thermal module. I am not sure whether it is possible to be done. If it is then could you please tell me if there is a way to insert lines inside this pipe body?
Please find the screenshot of the model below.
Thanks a lot!

SubscriberIt looks like you have the geometry in SpaceClaim. Please attach the .scdoc file in your reply so I can try some things.

SubscriberThanks a lot. The other pipe is circular as well though. Now I am just wondering when I set these lines to have a flow in steady-state thermal if they won't overlap where they merge and if the different diameters will somehow create any difference.

SubscriberI would use Fluent to solve the thermal model and not try to do it in Mechanical. I don't know what happens when lines branch in Mechanical.

SubscriberI have already used Fluent and CFX to do this case, but I do it for my master thesis which is about benchmark of the CFD software possibilities and I was thinking of comparing CFX, Fluent, steady-state thermal from Ansys and Autodesk CFD. But I guess I will just leave the steady state thermal out. Thanks for help!
