Is it possible to create an enclosure of a surface using spaceclaim?
I'm trying to create but it shows an error " the selected body could not be subtracted from the enclosure body "Â
I am trying to perfom a vibro-acoustic analysis using ansys workbench, and to perfom the acoustic analysis I need an enclosure but my model is a surface (composite shell)

Hello Henrique,Â
To confirm, you are trying to create an enclosure around surface body and for that you need the enclosure to be surface right?
To create an enclosure around you will need to select one or more solid or faceted bodies. Surface bodies cannot be selected to create a domain around it. If you are working with a surface, you may need to first convert it to a solid or ensure that it is part of a solid body.

Thanks for you answer @Devendra.Â
Â
I'm working with a composite shell/surface that I need to put into ANSYS ACP and, if I use a solid body, it will be impossible to open ANSYS ACP, because ACP only works with shell elements.Â
Am I wrong?Â
Is there any other way to perform the vibration/acoustics of a shell composite?Â
