SubscriberHello everyone,
I model a masonry wall composed of 4 bricks horizontal and 18 vertical bricks separated by mortar. I want to define the interface parameters between these two components using "Cohesive Zone Model". When I create contacts automatically between these two elements, ANSYS give me more than 400 contacts, which is difficult to assign for each contact this interface parameter. I want to know if there is a method to affect for all contacts create the Cohesive zone model. -

It seem the default contact auto detection is detecting too many contacts and overlaps.Â
You can adjust this tolerance, and use the Connection Group iteratively to minimize the manual contact editing. At about 10:40 in the video, they discuss contact auto-detection tolerance.Â
