Create a plane

  Hi,
  
  How can I create a plane only for the red marked zone. This is a annular fluid flow. While I am creating a plane using the point and normal tool, the plane creates including central part (blue region) where there is no flow. So, if I take the area weighted average, getting the wrong answer. Any idea, how can I create a plane only for the red contour zone?

  I tend to use isosurface of mesh rather than plane, but it's much the same. You then need to use iso-clip on your plane/surface to clip to the region you want. If it's a separate region when you create the isosurface select the fluid annular region and it'll only create the surface on the intersection.
