Crack front does not have contiguous set of nodes-Arbitrary Crack

      Hello Everyone,

I have generated a crack in a cylindrical model using the Arbitrary crack method. During the simulation, an unknown error message is displayed. Solution information shows crack front does not have a contiguous set of nodes. The meshing and crack generation was although successful. I have no clue how to resolve this error.

Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

      Best Regards,

      Divya Giri

      Hi Divya,

A contiguous set of nodes refers to a set of connected nodes that form a continuous surface. This error message typically occurs when there is a gap or overlap in the mesh nodes that define the crack front surface.
