SubscriberIn the Maxwell 2024 R2 documentation, an arc-simulation approach is described that couples Twin Builder, Maxwell, and Fluent through System Coupling to achieve combined electric-circuit, electromagnetic, and thermal-fluid analysis. We have already succeeded in coupling Maxwell and Fluent via System Coupling for electromagnetic + thermal-fluid arc simulation, but the external circuit cannot be taken into account. Could you tell us what specific method the documentation uses to include Twin Builder in the System Coupling workflow?

Ansys EmployeeTo connect Twin Builder, Maxwell, and Fluent through System Coupling, you can follow a structured workflow that ensures all participants are effectively integrated and dependent on each other. Here's a detailed approach:
1. Workflow Order: The recommended order for this type of modeling is Twin Builder > Maxwell > Fluent. This sequence allows for multiple iterations and data exchanges between each pair of participants.Â
2. Data Exchange: Maxwell to Twin Builder: Maxwell provides voltage to an external circuit in Twin Builder through an FMU model. Twin Builder then feeds a current back to Maxwell using a circuit model.
Maxwell to Fluent: Maxwell generates volume loss, surface loss (including nonlinear resistance thin layer losses on Electric Arc Anode and Cathode surfaces), and Lorentz forces for Fluent.
Fluent to Maxwell: Fluent consumes the heat rate (surface loss from Maxwell) on solid-fluid interfaces and feeds electrical conductivity and temperature back to Maxwell.
3. Include Twin Builder in System Coupling:
- Select the Co-simulation Platform: Choose between Twin Builder and System Coupling as the co-simulation running platform. If Twin Builder is selected, additional project-related options will appear. Ensure the Twin Builder project file is open after the co-simulation ends to check for any error messages.
- Configure Twin Builder Settings: Open the System Target File Browser and select the
twinbuilder_rt.tlcfile to configure Twin Builder settings.Â- Include Necessary Files in the FMU: Ensure all necessary dependent binary and data files are included in the FMU's resource folder

SubscriberFollowing up on your point that "Maxwell provides voltage to an external circuit in Twin Builder through an FMU model," could you please provide the detailed steps or guidance on how to generate this FMU model?
I saw in the document "Ansys System Coupling: What’s New in 2025 R2" that the setup for arc simulation is mentioned. Has a demo been released to accompany this feature?
