SubscriberHello,
I hope you are doing well. I am making this post to ask about how to run a multi-node 2-way coupled Fluent / Rocky case.
I am trying to use my university's HPC, which runs on a Slurm job scheduling system. So far, I have been able to run some 2-way coupled cases on a) 1 node containing 40 cpu, and b) 1 node containing 24 cpu and 4 gpu: Fluent running on 20 cpu, and Rocky running on 4 cpu + 4 gpu.
I am now wondering how to set up a case that can run on multiple nodes. For instance, if I can use 2 nodes similar to the one used in option b) above, fluent would be running on 40 cpu, and rocky on 8 cpu and 8 gpu. Could you please help me with this? Thank you very much.
Best regards,

Hi Parsa,
While Fluent supports distributed execution across multiple nodes, Rocky needs to run on the head node, where the GPUs are located. Rocky does not support distributed parallel execution, which should be considered when setting up your cluster.
Here is a useful link that can help:Â 2-way coupling Ansys Rocky and Fluent
Best regards

SubscriberHi Jackson,

I am starting off developing a journal file to run a 2-way coupled Fluent Rocky simulation. Is there a tutorial that can help me start the process of running a two-way coupled simulation on an HPC? I have gone over the manual and this has helped me develop a one-way transient simulation. f2r file.
