Hello,
I have been using HFSS eigenmode to simulate the frequency and Q factor of coplanar waveguide resonator and the result has been good.
Now I want to investigate the frequency and Q factor of the resonator inside a uniform magnetic field. But I have not found anything similar in the examples.
Do you guys have any suggestion on where to start in this problem?
Thank you.

Hi Long,
Thanks for posting your query on Ansys Learning Forum.
Eigen mode solution type does not require any excitations and theorefore you will not be able to setup any magnetic bias for same.
However, if you wish to setup your model with Driven Modal or Driven Terminal Solution type, you can setup Magnetic bias for Ferrites.
HFSS considers Ferrites and requires Magnetic bias excitation.Â
There is an example available under HFSS example folder.Â
please open AEDT > File -> Open Examples -> HFSS-> RF Microwave-> Ferrite_Circulator.aedt
Thanks,
Â

Hi Dmarathe,
Thank you very much. I was hoping to find a solution outside of drivent terminal.
When I try to simulate with driven terminal, sometime I see my resonator disappear from the S21 signal or its frequency changes when I change the interpolating range. My frequency is around 5 GHz. How should I make the simulation more accurate?
Thanks
