I want to simulate convective heat transfer from the tip of the fin attached to the constant heat flux. The fin is made of aluminum and has a free air stream at 298.16 K. The fin's tip temperature will vary with time. So, the convective heat transfer coefficient will also vary. Hence, convection heat transfer will also vary.
The equation in the photo wanted to be written in the convective heat transfer boundary condition. Using UDF or named expression, anything is possible.

Hi,
The convective boundary condition can be entered directly in the Ansys Fluent. It is available in the Fluent thus there is no need to write an expression or udf.

I wanted to give conduction equal to the convection boundary condition. I don't have any fixed convective heat transfer coefficient. The equation I mentioned in the above problem. What option do I need to select? What udf or named expression do I need to write for this?Â

The heat transfer coefficient can be determined using a custom variable function.
