Convection Geometry Selection Issue (ANSYS 19.2)

I am simply trying to add convection on one edge of the figure shown and another convection on the other side. The issue is I can not select the line and apply the convection. Every time I try it continues to remain yellow ("no selection").

Do any of you know why I cannot solve this issue?

I see you defined named selections for two edges. What if you just use the named selection for your Scoping Method when defining the convection ?

      Thanks,

That was my initial attempt, hence the reason you can see it in the photo. I had no luck with that either.

      Is your geometry 2D or 3D ? I will assume it's 2D.

If so, check your Workbench GUI -> select the Geometry cell and check the properties and make sure that Analysis Type is set to 2D and not 3D. Because if it's set to 3D, Mechanical will only allow you to apply convection to surface, not line.

      Thanks,

Thank you. Yes, I was on 3D. I switched over to 2D and it is solved now
