SubscriberHi,
I would like to know how to select a specific side of a surface body (shell) in order to give a convection coefficient only on this side?
P.S. Model is an assembly of solid and suface body. For the surface body, I have one side in contact with the solid body and for the other side I need to have a Convection coefficient...
Thank you very much

Ansys EmployeeHi Simon,
There is no direct option available in the Mechanical GUI. You can use APDL Command in the mechanical to select the different surfaces.
Follow this attached documentation to do it.

Ansys EmployeeHi
You can use the “SFE” command in the APDL command snippet. You can select the “LKEY” as 1 and 2 for applying convection on the bottom and top faces, respectively.
