I am plotting a temperature contour with text commands of Fluent as follows:Â
display/set/contours/filled-contours yes
display/set/contours/coloring no
display/set/contours/line-contour no
display/contour temperature,,ÂThe color type of the contour should be already set smooth rather than banded at the second line, but the displayed contour is still in banded color. Is there any conflicting setting that I missed?Â
Meanwhile, I am also wondering if there is any command that can hide boundaries in contours, instead of a visible colored line by default.Â

Hello,Â
Â
Concerning your first inquiry, please refer to the Ansys help excerpt: "Note that you can only display smooth contours if node-values are enabled." (To enable it, use the command "display/set/contours/node-values?")
As for your second question, I'm not entirely certain, but one possibility is to exclude those boundaries when selecting the surface using the command "display/set/contours/surfaces."
Thanks,Nikhil

Thanks Nikhil!Â
I added "display/set/contours/node-values yes" before the coloring command and tested it again, but I still got banded contours. I am not sure if there is anything else that I missed.Â
For the second one, I found nothing changed with or without setting "display/set/contours/surfaces". The boundaries appear as lines with specific colors, so they seem to be some markers rather than parts of the contour.Â
The method mentioned by Rob solved the issue in another way, but I appreciate your help!Â

You may want to look at the /display/object options too: create the contours via the GUI and then display the persistent object. The workflow changed a few versions back, it's slightly more effort to set up but saves most of the panel options to make displaying easier.Â

Thanks Rob!
It is an amazing way that solved both of my problems! And it is easier to handle as the command has the same settings with contour panels in the GUI.Â
