Which surfaces should be assigned as contact and target in the bonded contact method between the plate and the rectangular body, if the plate size is 4.2×4.2×0.4, the rectangle is 4×4×8, a 100 N load is applied on the upper plate surface, the lower plate is fixed, and the goal is to analyze stress or deformation only in the rectangular body?

Assign the Contact side of the pair to the green body face and the Target side of the pair to the plate face.

Are you choosing Bonded Contact to obtain output that you can only get from contact elements?

If not, you could consider using Shared Topology and having shared nodes between the plate and body.

Since the boundary conditions, loads and geometry show symmetry, you could put two planes through the center of the model, slice all bodies, delete 3/4 of the geometry to have a 1/4 model, use Symmetry regions on the two cut planes and reduce the Force to 25 N. The benefit is the model will solve in less time and you will see the stress through the center of the rectangular body.
