      Are contact element supported in single frame restarts?

      No. The contact object and contact element connectives are saved in rdb file. A single frame restart does not use the rdb file so that the contact behavior can change during and after a restart. In particular, contact results from a single frame restart cannot be trusted with frictional contact or contact stiffness updated per each iteration.
