Dear all,

I'm trying to simulate a compression test with the help of ANSYS structural analysis. The structure that is used, is 3D printed by using TPU. Prior to that, I obtained the stress/strain curve via an experimental tensile test to derive the material properties of TPU. Next, I imported the structure with the two plates into Design Modeler to create named selections and turned off the shared topology between the structure and the two plates. The bottom will be fixed and the top shall have a displacement in the -Z direction. A frictional coefficient of 0,1 is applied on either side of the structure, and as you can see the model is completely based on shell models. I've defined both the plates to be rigid and the structure to be flexible.

However, for some reason, I can't apply a displacement on the top shell plate and can't fix the bottom shell plate. Could someone explain what I'm doing wrong or do I missed something? I've attached two screenshots of the mesh, the settings and the structure with the two plates. I hope someone can help me out!

Thanks! I knew I overlooked something...
I simulated the above situation however, as seen in the added picture, the structure is debonded. How is that possible? I've shared the topology in Spaceclaim.
