Sir I want to ask that there is written 3D_8 node and 6 node structural solid elements and a total 134900 nodes and 72182 elements were generated. In Ansys we need to give element size. So my  question is what is element size for this?

Hello Chirag,

If I understand correctly, you have a given geometry and you want to mesh it with exactly 134 900 nodes and 72 182 elements? Why do you need to get this exact number of nodes and elements? It will depend on the geometry and you will need trial and errors (vary the element size) until you get the number of nodes and elements that you are looking for.

In Mechanical, you can vary the element size and check the number of nodes and elements here:

 

But, I would not try to match the number of nodes exactly. I would do a convergence study (refine the mesh) until the result of interest converges and no longer vary significantly.

Ok sir I understand but I want exact number of nodes and elements for my model validation but as you said I need to do trial and errors by varying the element size. Ok I will do it in my model. Sir please reply my other questions which I asked in my forum.
